Book presentation with Flemish Culture Prize winners Gijs Van Vaerenbergh

We are happy that the authors of our first “Architecture Monogram” issue, Pieterjan Gijs and Arnout Vaerenbergh, founder of Gijs Van Vaerenbergh, were awarded the Flemish Culture Prize in the category Architecture/Design. Congrats!

During the award ceremony in Antwerp yesterday, Pieterjan Gijs and Arnout Van Vaerenbergh received the Ultima prize in the category Architecture / Design from the hands of Flemish Minister for Culture Sven Gatz. The jury of professionals praises Gijs Van Vaerenbergh as they ‘understand the art of translating conceptual power in a restrained but grand manner into a timeless aesthetic experience that captivates young and old, seekers, connoisseurs and random passersby’.

The Ultimas are quality labels with which the Flemish Community recognizes the cultural importance of the work of the winners. Every year since 2003, the Flemish Culture Prizes have been awarded by the Flemish Minister of Culture to leading performers, artists, organisations and companies.

And if you like to meet the authors we invite you to join the book presentation on Sun, March 4th at Copyright Bookshop in Antwerp, Nationalstaat 28a, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium.
