Award for Architecture Reading Aid Ahmedabad

We are very happy and proud that our architecture and city guide Architecture Reading Aid Ahmedabad was selected as one of the “Most Beautiful Books of Germany” by the Stiftung Buchkunst (foundation for book art).

Each year, the Stiftung Buchkunst launches a competition to award the “Most Beautiful Books of Germany.” This year, there were 788 titles sent in, out of which a jury of experts selected 25 books. The Architecture Reading Aid Ahmedabad was one of the five books that were awarded in the category “guidebooks,” which also included cookbooks, travel guides, garden books, and other image-heavy books. The other categories were “literature,” “academic books,” “art books,” and “children’s books.”

All of the awarded books will be presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair from October 19th – 23rd 2016 and at other book fairs in Germany and abroad, in a number of exhibitions in libraries and book stores, and in a catalog that will also feature the jury statements for each awarded book.

Out of the 25 awarded books, which are all exemplary in their design, concept, and production, an additional jury will select one title for the “Stiftung Buchkunst Award,” endowed with 10,000 EUR. The award ceremony will take place on September 8th in the Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt/Main. So keep your fingers crossed for Ruby Press!
