Architecture Monogram is a book series on emerging architects, landscape designers, photographers and writers from Belgium and the Netherlands in which the designers reveal the personal obsessions and motivations that stimulate their design process.

This second issue of the Architecture Monogram series is dedicated to Swiss-Dutch landscape architect Anouk Vogel, who has recieved a number of awards for her work, including winning first prize with architect Anne Holtrop for the National Pavilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 2014 Milan Expo. Her landscape designs have a strong artistic emphasis with a minimalist look and each plays with an ordered sense of greenery and space. As well as designing beautiful abstract gardens, her art installations have also been exhibited around the world, such as her ‘Paper Garden’ in Nagasaki, Japan.

In Soliloquy Anouk Vogel reflects upon ten years of independent practice in the form of short conversations with her alter ego that reveal the way in which she explores the margins of the discipline.
